R-134a Primary Uses
R-134a is the most widely used medium and low temperature environmental refrigerant, due to the good comprehensive performance of HFC-134a. This makes it a very effective and safe alternative to CFC-12 and is mainly used in most areas where R-12 (R12,, F-12, CFC-12) refrigerants are used, including refrigerators, freezers, water fountains, automotive air conditioning, Central air conditioners, dehumidifiers, cold storage, commercial refrigeration, ice-water machines, ice cream machines, refrigeration condensation units and other refrigeration equipment can also be used in aerosol propellants, medical aerosols, insecticide sprayers, polymer (plastic) physical foaming agents, and magnesium alloy protection gases.
